History

Our story

The company was founded in 2019 by veterans, scientists, engineers and consultants with a background in Defence and National Security. The name "x-RD" was formed through the founders approach in wanting to apply experimentation with research & development to deliver advanced, innovative and secure software and AI technologies. After providing IT services initially to the mining sector and then Defence, x-RD has evolved into much more.

The company launched its SaaS platform "secd3v" which is now supporting government, defence industry and high compliance sector customers with our enterprise Gitlab Platform, GitLab Duo services and the secd3v AI assistant.

After six years, x-RD has grown into an award winning managed IT services company supporting Defence, National Security, Government and the private sector.

x-RD is a proud supporter of Australian Defence Force Reservists and veteran employment opportunities and continues to sponsor a number of veteran and mental health initiatives.
