x-RD developed an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) capability for a Government client enabling users to undertake OSINT research and analysis.

Open-source intelligence (OSINT) is a dynamic capability requiring regular access to the internet, social media, and specialist online repositories in a secure and managed approach.
Recent global events have demonstrated the value of OSINT in government and defence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, analysts could use OSINT to help meet intelligence requirements working remotely. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, OSINT provided troop movements and real-time intelligence that shaped global understanding of the conflict, and the US publicly released OSINT reports to discredit Russian false-flag attacks to justify the invasion.
x-RD was engaged by an Australian Government client to provide a range of OSINT services including the development of an interim and secure OSINT capability and system (log) analysis platform.
The OSINT capability provided secure access for OSINT research using a range of state-of-the-art services, secure logging and audit functionality. The capability allowed the Government client to understand operational OSINT activities safely that resulted in significant intelligence outcomes of numerous operations.
The OSINT capability is continuing to be used across a range of different stakeholders and the initial capability was delivered in approximately three months.
