Challenge
Government, Defence and Industry, particularly those in high compliance sectors, are required by governing cyber security, regulatory bodies and corporate boards to leverage secure software development processes to manage cyber security risks. In the case of Defence and Government, this has now been mandated as part of recent Information Security Manual (ISM) changes.
The cost of building and managing secure infrastructure and software development platforms is prohibitively expensive as well as timely. Furthermore, the resource cost needed to build, secure, maintain, and accredit these development platforms, means that valuable technical staff that could be used for enhancing mission value, are instead looking after infrastructure.
These resource challenges are further compounded by the recent addition of AI-assisted software development technologies.
Solution
secd3v is a SaaS platform that provides secure and sovereign software development and AI-assisted technologies to allow customers to invest more time in making a difference and less time managing software platforms, infrastructure, AI models and AI infrastructure. The SaaS platform has been developed using state-of-the-art and secure infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices in consultation with AWS security best practices. secd3v also employs IaC automation for platform deployment and updates and takes advantage of Chainguard low-zero vulnerability containers for improved platform cyber security.
secd3v provides enterprise GitLab, GitLab Duo (AI) and secd3v AI assistants for customers looking to meet mandated security and sovereignty requirements and to free up their engineering resources. secd3v is assessed to IRAP PROTECTED and has a SOC2 attestation, with data and services hosted in Australian IRAP-assessed data centres.
secd3v AI services including GitLab Duo and the secd3v AI assistant include responsible AI security and data privacy controls to ensure corporate data is not used outside a customer’s tenancy. Furthermore, all provided large language model (LLM) services are validated against GitLab and AI security requirements.
